A Prayer for Grace

This is a poem I wrote a while back when I was praying for God to send me the girl He has for me. Enjoy!

Dear sovereign Lord
I pray for grace
For You alone bear the sword
And the blood with which I plead my case
I am a worm and no man
A fleeting vapor, a wayward sheep
And out of all the grains of sand
You have chosen a woman, to test me.
Help, O Lord
This broken cistern
Laden with so many weights
To be wise, and to learn
Her Savior to imitate
